Bio

She is the Executive Director of the Laudato Si' Movement and a guest lecturer on various master's and postgraduate courses at ISEG, UCP and ISCTE. She is a researcher at CESA - Center for Studies on Africa and Development (ISEG) where she is part of the Oficina Global action-research project.

Between 2009 and 2021 she was Executive Director of the Faith and Cooperation Foundation. She was President of the Board of the Portuguese Platform of NGDOs between 2018 and 2020. She was an Advisor for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Health. Between 2006-2009 she was Program Development and Funding Coordinator at the NGO CAFOD (UK). From 2000-2004 she was Coordinator of Partnerships and Volunteers in Angola, Mozambique and East Timor at the NGO DCC (France). She was a volunteer in Angola with the NGO Lay People for Development (1997-199). She has a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the René Descartes University - Paris V and a Master's degree in Development, International Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid from the Faculty of Political Sciences of the Panthéon - Sorbonne University in Paris.
