The Transform4Europe (T4EU) Alliance is pleased to invite researchers, young researchers, and PhD students from across the T4EU universities to participate in the first Matchmaking Event and PhD Conference, to be held in Saint-Étienne, France, on November 13th and 14th, 2024. Hosted by Jean Monnet University, this event will focus on the theme "AI and Society: Researchers’ Commitment to Positive Transformation."
The PhD Conference also offers an excellent opportunity for Young Researchers and PhD candidates from the T4EU Alliance to present their research in Artificial Intelligence in a concise 3-minute format. We are looking for one PhD student from each T4EU university to participate. This is an ideal platform to network, exchange ideas, and showcase your research in front of a diverse audience of peers and experts.
Topics for discussion include:
- Legal aspects of AI
- AI tools in academia
- AI for sciences such as astronomy, biology, and medicine
- AI and language from design and marketing perspectives
- Ethical issues, biases, and security in AI
The event will feature:
- Panel discussions and workshops
- Research poster exhibitions
- Networking sessions and laboratory visits
- PhD presentations
Applications are open until October 28th, 2024, and must be submitted online. Students are required to complete the application form below and submit a motivation letter in English, explaining their choice of courses and the impact of participating in the event. The selection will be based on the level of interest, and professional and personal experience in the subject areas proposed for the Conference.
The results of the selection process will be announced by October 30, 2024.
