PhD Onboarding 2026: começar o percurso doutoral de forma informada

Starting a PhD means exploring new ideas, developing your identity as a researcher and finding your place in a research community. To support you at this important stage, CADOS invites new doctoral candidates to PhD Onboarding, with sessions in Lisbon and Porto.

Together, we will explore what it means to pursue a PhD today, reflect on the kind of researcher you want to become and discuss how to approach your doctoral journey with purpose and confidence. The “Start Smart” roundtable will provide space for questions, shared perspectives and practical insights into getting started.

You will also have the opportunity to meet fellow doctoral candidates and begin building connections across disciplines.

There is no application form!

1st year PhD students just need to showup and sign in on the welcome desk.
