There is a body of available knowledge in Psychology in emotion regulation needs and strategies, motivation and goal achieving processes and in how these regulatory processes of cognition and emotion predict wellbeing outcomes that can be translated into greater self-awareness and knowledge and into more autonomous and efficient management of one’s goals, expectations, plans, tasks, emotions and the aftermath of one’s emotional reactions.
The goal of the second CADOS "Handling Frustration, Regulating Emotion & Fostering Wellbeing" is to endow doctoral students with evidence-based knowledge to regulate their motivation and emotions, handle negative events and setbacks in their work and life and regulate stress in a manner that is more consistent with their academic and personal goals. The structure of the course encompasses lecture-type sessions, practical seminars, and “hands-on” exercises and challenges as follow-up coursework. The course will be available for all interested doctoral students at the various UCP Campi and offered via Zoom. Admittance will be on a first come first serve basis for the 25 vacancies.
