The Annual Transform4Europe PhD conference “Societies on the Move: Challenges of Today, Prospects for the Future“ will be hosted by Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski in Sofia on 1-2 April 2025. This event invites PhD students, early-stage researchers, and outstanding MA students to present innovative research and exchange ideas. The conference addresses critical societal issues, including political and economic crises, climate change, and the impact of AI.
Topics align with Transform4Europe’s focus areas: societal transformation, digital advancement, and environmental sustainability. The event includes keynote speeches, collaborative discussions, and networking opportunities. Participants will receive a certificate from the Alliance universities. The papers will be included in the Conference Proceedings following a scientific review.
The conference will focus on the current and envisaged challenges today’s societies face due to political and economic crises, war, climate change and the rapid advancement of digital technologies and AI in all spheres of life. It is thematically related to the three Transform4Europe focus areas:
- Societal transformation, community building and inclusion
- Digital transformation and smart regions
- Environmental Transformation and sustainability
