Fellow researcher at the Post-Doc Programme in Integral Human Development at Católica Doctoral School. PhD in Social Work since 2022, at Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP), with a work entitled "Marie-Thérèse Cécile Lévêque e o Instituto de Serviço Social (1935-1946): História e Memória". At that same Faculty, also obtained a Master's Degree (2009) and a Bachelor's Degree (2005) in Social Work.
Researcher at the Centre for Religious History Studies – UCP, since 2008, being in charge for organizing and describing M.ª Leonor Corrêa Botelho´s (1915-96) documentary collection, and also a member of the editorial team working on "Enciclopédia de História Religiosa em Portugal" (online). Was part of the Centre for Social Work and Sociology Studies - UCP, between 2006 and 2016, where participated on a study about homeless immigrants in Portugal, and on surveying the support needs of elderly people in Lisbon. Author of "O Discurso Histórico sobre o Serviço Social em Portugal" (UCE, 2009), and co-author of "Imigrantes Sem-Abrigo em Portugal" (ACIDI, 2013). Has participated in conferences with lectures on her research topics: history and development of social work profession; poverty and social assistance.
Was a teacher on the Bachelor's Degree in Social Work at UCP (2006-16), as well in Madeira Island´s University (2007-08). Belonged to the Advisory Board of the "Anuário do Centro de Estudos de História do Atlântico" (2009-15), and headed the sustainability and social responsibility office at Grupo Sousa, in Madeira Island (2016-19).
Member of the Paris-based Groupe de Recherche sur l'Histoire du Service Social (GREHSS), and from the European Social Work Research Association (ESWRA), where she joins the "Social Work, History and Research" group. Also, member of the Portuguese Social Work Professionals Association (APSS).
