Entrepreneurship is not just "life after research", but a path to bring research to life. It is a way to see the growth and impact of a solid, well-grounded idea. It is an added dimension, a different perspective to bridge the gap, too often too wide, between knowledge and society. Fame and riches need not be your main motivation. You may have an idea you believe has potential, a research output you would like to see applied, or simply be curious about what the hype is all about.
In this hands-on introduction, you will learn the difference between an idea and a business, and how to make the transition. How do you know if it is worth pursuing an opportunity? How do you protect it? How do you fund it? How do you communicate it? In the end, it is not just about creating the next big company, but mainly about obtaining tools to turn potential into reality. This means you as well, as a researcher, as a professional, and as a citizen.
