Ester Minga holds a PhD in Communication Sciences from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, a Master's degree in Communication and Semiotics and a Bachelor's degree in Social Communication, with a major in Journalism, from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (Brazil). She was a regional group coordinator for the 2020 edition of the Global Media Monitoring Project (GMMP), the world's largest study on gender in the media, and a research fellow in the RadioActive Portugal project, winner of the Inclusion and Digital Literacy Award, granted in 2014 by the ICT and Society Network (FCT). Her research interests cover the representations, present and also promoted by the media, of immigrant subjects and mobility experiences in the interrelationship between race, gender and sex.
