Applications Open | Interdisciplinary Writing Training 2026
This programme is designed for PhD students and early career researchers who want to improve their academic writing. It is open to participants from all disciplines at Universidade Católica Portuguesa who have an ongoing writing project, such as a doctoral dissertation, journal article, book chapter, conference paper, or research proposal.
The Interdisciplinary Writing Training is 1 ECTS, fully online programme that runs over eight weeks. It focuses on academic writing as a process, not just on the final text. Participants are supported in writing with more clarity and confidence, developing productive writing habits, understanding their academic audience, and working effectively with feedback.
The programme includes structured online sessions and a Feedback Laboratory. In the Feedback Laboratory, participants work in small peer groups to practise giving and receiving constructive feedback in a supportive and interdisciplinary environment. The working language is English, although texts written in Portuguese may be accepted in specific cases.
Applicants must have an active academic writing project at the time of application.
