RIO Training Session: Intellectual Property Management
The Research and Innovation Office (RIO) is pleased to announce the upcoming training session on “Intellectual Property Management”, to be delivered by Miguel Maia, patent solicitor at Patentree, on 6 November 2025.
Participants will:
- Understand what constitutes intellectual property (IP) and what qualifies as patentable know-how;
- Learn the fundamentals of patents and their formal lifecycle;
- Explore common routes for IP valorization;
- Get familiar with patent search tools and learn how to assess patentability.
Target Audience
Researchers engaged in breakthrough science and innovation who are developing novel technologies or know-how.
